WHY JOIN WAB?

COMMUNICATION
You know that to be successful in business, you need to be well informed about what is going on in the industry. WAB's monthly newsletter, "The Foundation", as well as periodic e-mail updates ensure that you have the information you need to succeed.

NETWORKING
Another key to success is working cooperatively with other successful businesses within the industry. WAB clears the way for many businesses to get to know each other and work together.

REPRESENTATION
It is extremely important for businesses in our industry to have representation at the State Legislature and with state and local agencies to ensure that our voices are heard before laws and regulations that impact our businesses are passed. WAB provides that representation.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
WAB administers an electrical apprenticeship program, and is currently developing a plumbing apprenticeship. We also offer other educational opportunities and keep our members informed of training available through other entities. We work with members to provide the training and educational opportunities they need.

PROMOTION
WAB promotes members through our newsletter, website and directory. We also promote our members through programs, meetings and events.

INSURANCE BENEFITS
To address the ever rising cost of health care and health insurance, WAB formed the WAB Insurance Trust (WABIT). As stated before, WABIT is a non-profit, member owned, comprehensive group health program. You can find more detailed information about WABIT here.

HOW DO I JOIN?

Complete the enclosed WAB application form, and mail it, along with a letter of recommendation from an existing WAB member, a brief letter from you explaining how your business is related to Wyoming's building construction industry, and a check for your dues.

All membership applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation from an existing WAB member in good standing.

The amount of dues members pay varies, so please be sure to check the correct box on the application form.

Once your membership application packet is received, it will be sent out to the WAB Board of Directors for approval. It typically takes a few days to a week for directors to review applications.

MEMBERSIP REQUIREMENTS

Any Wyoming resident contractor, and any business that supplies materials or services to Wyoming's construction industry is eligible to apply for "Full Membership" with WAB.

New contractor members are eligible for a 50% reduction in dues for their first year's membership.

Businesses that do not meet the requirements for a full-membership, or that are not interested in all the benefits that WAB provides, may apply for a "Limited Membership".
