HISTORY
In 2003, Kloefkorn Ballard Construction, the Casper Tin Shop, and a few other Wyoming building contractors and construction related businesses with common interests joined together to form the Wyoming Associated Builders (WAB). Their goals were straight forward and stated plainly in the mission statement...
"Wyoming Associated Builders supports the Merit Shop Philosophy with education, legislation, training and image building. We promote integrity and ethics in business practices while offering training opportunities to enhance the success of our members."
The founding members of WAB believed that if they could convince their fellow building contractors and others of like minds throughout the state to join forces that together they could become a powerful legislative and regulatory influence.
From humble beginnings with few members and an office no larger than a bedroom and, after much headache, heartache, and extraordinary dedication from many individuals, WAB has arrived at its present status.
Soon after the establishment of WAB, our members once again came together to form the Wyoming Associated Builders Insurance Trust or WABIT in 2004. The Wyoming Associated Builders Insurance Trust or WABIT. WABIT is owned by our participants. This means that we keep our prices as low as possible while maintaining quality service. Read more about WABIT here.
WAB has grown from an organization with an uncertain future to a strong organization with a bright future. We have come a long way, and continue to improve and increase our services while growing our membership.
Every year WAB grows stronger and stronger, and we are now recognized as the voice for Wyoming's resident contractors.
